About HSD

What is HSD?

Homeschool Days (HSD) is a platform created by homeschoolers for homeschoolers to access resources, tools, and community needed to support your family’s home education journey.

What You’ll Find?

HSD provides a resource marketplace for parents to exchange homeschool-specific instructional materials, self-paced and interactive online classes, workshops, and tutoring, access to both new and used physical products, easy-to-use digital tools, and to find local activities and events.

As the homeschool community continues to grow across the country, HSD hopes to empower parents to support their children and one another by sharing resources they’ve created and by purchasing from fellow homeschoolers, alumni, and homeschool supporters.

Buy. Sell. Give.

In addition to the benefits of our HSD Membership, for every dollar spent, a minimum 10% of all proceeds are given directly to homeschooling students, families, and organizations through our HSD Gives program.

Not School At Home

Homeschool is not school at home. It requires unique tools made for a family with one child or multiple children at varying ages and levels rather than a homogenized, grade-based classroom.

And, although it can look traditional in some households, many families take an unconventional approach in one way or another. Ultimately, we know our homeschool days look different from day to day, season to season, and year to year.

That’s why homeschool products on HSD are categorized to reflect this important distinction and make it easier to find resources that fit your homeschooling method and season.

By looking to the experience of fellow homeschoolers, parents can save time, learn about the best method for their family, and bring rich and engaging learning into their home.

Say hello to the team

Our team is comprised of homeschooling families dedicated to helping parents and children learn, grow, and find peace during their homeschool days. As a team, we both develop and support the platform without investor funding.

However, the majority of products and services are provided by homeschoolers like you in their individual shops in the HSD marketplace.

So, on HSD, you can purchase items you need, sell products you create, earn rewards and exclusive discounts by becoming an HSD Family Member, all while knowing that with every purchase you are supporting a homeschooling family like yours and beyond.

A Message From the Founders

Dear Fellow Homeschoolers,

Homeschool Days was an idea that started in January 2020 with a goal to support the homeschool community. At that time we were a homeschooling family of 7, with our children ranging from toddler to highschool freshman. Like many of you, we started our homeschool research when our first child was still in the belly. We’ve since added a sweet baby to our crew and look forward to many more years of learning alongside our children.

When we began developing HSD, our hope was to accomplish several important goals. We’ve listed a few below:

  • Provide a way for homeschoolers to support fellow homeschoolers (including alumni) during every part of their journey.
  • Give homeschool families an opportunity to earn additional income.
  • Make finding resources easier.
  • Make finding local groups and programs easier.
  • Make finding homeschool events easier.
  • Make finding volunteer and job opportunities for homeschool students easier.
  • Financially support homeschool programs and students through educational grants.
  • Create ways for homeschoolers to support homeschoolers.

The homeschool community is filled with creative, resourceful, and inspiring people. Many who are dedicated to homeschooling their children no matter the financial sacrifices often associated with this fulfilling choice. Personally, we believe homeschooling is essentially a form of entrepreneurship, so we wanted to make a platform for homeschooling families to share their knowledge and expertise, while creating income-earning opportunities from products they already create for their family.

We are also big fans of homeschooling remaining private, with little to no restrictions, in order to allow families the flexibility to instill a love of learning within each child, and to choose methods and paths that best suit each child’s needs. We understand the concerns of many veteran homeschoolers who have fought and continue to fight for pro-homeschool laws and parental freedoms. Although each shop determines their own pricing, a minimum of 10% of all proceeds are given directly to homeschooling students, families, and organizations through our HSD Gives program. Families can also save more, earn rewards, and access special offers and discounts for local events, while connecting with the local homeschool community through our HSD Family Membership.

Personally, we’ve been blessed with wonderful friendships and mentors who’ve helped us, and continue to help us maintain a healthy and peaceful family rhythm through the seeds of wisdom and knowledge they’ve planted into our lives. There is so much value in gleaning from the experience and guidance of others, so we hope HSD will do for you what our mentors have done for us. We hope you will both give and receive value from the HSD community. And, we hope the best for your homeschool days.

Blessings from our family to yours,

Corey and Helen Scott
